https://jhss-lppm.unpak.ac.id/index.php/JHSS/article/view/110

Indonesia faces various challenges in the effective dissemination of health crisis information to the public, especially in the context of improving preparedness for disasters and health emergencies. This study aims to analyze the qualitative content of health crisis information presented in the official website of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Indonesia, particularly through the article “Disaster Preparedness Tips” published by the Health Crisis Center. In this study using the qualitative content analysis method Krippendorff (2018) and the concept of Digital Government from Cordella and Paletti (2019), this study examines how health crisis messages are constructed, structured, and communicated digitally to the community. The results showed that the construction of the message in the article focuses on two main functions, namely early warning and public health education and socialization. The message is informative and instructive, emphasizing on increasing risk awareness, disease prevention, and the implementation of clean and healthy living behavior during and after disasters such as floods and rainy seasons. The findings illustrate the government's role as a credible provider of digital public information and efforts to build public value through improved health literacy and community preparedness. However, the communication used is still one-way (information sharing) and has not accommodated interactive public participation. Overall, the Health Crisis Center website has functioned as an informative and educative disaster digital communication medium, although it needs to be strengthened in the aspects of interactivity and collaboration to be more in line with the principles of inclusive and participatory digital governance.
Salsabila Fadhilah Putri, Azwar

https://jhss-lppm.unpak.ac.id/index.php/JHSS/article/view/109

This study examines the portrayal of women in folktales from the Bangka Belitung region through a feminist literary criticism approach grounded in Simone de Beauvoir’s existentialist theory. The research aims to identify how female characters are represented and how cultural values and gender ideology are embedded in these narratives. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the study analyzes five folktales Asal Usul Penyusuk, Batu Balai, Kayu Kundi, Batu Belah Batu Betangkup, and Putri Mayang selected for their relevance to local cultural traditions. The findings reveal that women are predominantly depicted as compassionate, obedient, and self-sacrificing, reflecting patriarchal norms that define women’s roles within domestic and social spheres. Methodologically, the study integrates textual analysis and feminist interpretation to uncover ideological patterns within the stories. The significance of this research lies in demonstrating how folklore functions as a medium that both preserves cultural values and reinforces gendered power structures. The results offer important implications for gender-responsive literary education, highlighting the need for critical engagement with traditional narratives to promote more inclusive and equitable interpretations in contemporary learning contexts.
Elis Fitriani, Khoiriyatun Nisa, Windy Ikaluny, Alda Febrianti Z, Syafira Rizky P., Elviona

https://jhss-lppm.unpak.ac.id/index.php/JHSS/article/view/114

Pancasila and PPKn education should not only be theoretical subjects but also practical vehicles for building student character and leadership. This study aims to determine the process of instilling leadership character based on Pancasila values through several constructivist approaches and their supporting factors. The research method uses qualitative research with data collection from interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study explain that the process of instilling leadership character based on Pancasila values through several constructivist approaches, for example, through social projects and activities such as reflective discussions, actual case studies, and community activities, helps students understand how the principles of humanity, justice, and unity are applied in real life. In addition, organizational activities and leadership training on campus also strengthen these values contextually. Through these activities, students are trained to be disciplined, resilient, tolerant, and able to work together with a leadership spirit based on morality and justice. Factors that support the success of this study are the existence of a relevant curriculum, active learning methods based on discussions and case studies, a disciplined and moral campus environment, and strong institutional support for student character development. However, there are several obstacles such as limited lecture time, lack of role models from some lecturers, student orientation that is still focused on academic grades, high administrative burdens on lecturers, and differences in teaching styles and diverse student backgrounds.

Sarwo Edy , Dasim Budimansyah , Encep Syarief Nurdin , Mupid Hidayat

https://jhss-lppm.unpak.ac.id/index.php/JHSS/article/view/85

The advancement of information technology has shifted student interactions from traditional communication toward digital engagement, particularly through social media. While social media use among students is relatively high, much of the activity is still dominated by entertainment consumption, raising questions about its impact on digital political participation. This study aims to analyze the effect of social media use intensity on both active and passive forms of digital political participation among students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 305 students. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring social media use intensity and various forms of digital political participation. Simple linear regression was applied to test the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The findings show that social media use intensity has a positive and significant effect on students’ digital political participation (B = 0.717; p < 0.05; R = 0.289; R² = 0.083). Passive participation dominates, particularly News Attention (76%) and Discussion (65.2%). In terms of active participation, collective actions such as Protest Activities (65.9%) and Consumerism (58.7%) are relatively high, while direct actions such as Contacting (28.5%) and Communal Actions (48.2%) are less frequent. The study highlights the importance of strengthening digital political literacy to ensure that student participation is not only quantitatively high but also qualitatively meaningful. Future research should consider internal factors such as political motivation, digital literacy, and social environment to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between social media use intensity and digital political participation.
Arlin Nesra Nerista, Ardhana Januar Mahardhani, Sulton

https://jhss-lppm.unpak.ac.id/index.php/JHSS/article/view/116

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of integrating traditional games as a medium to strengthen the noble akhlak of senior high school students. The dimensions of noble akhlak refer to the Pancasila Student Profile, including the dimensions of religious akhlak, personal akhlak, interpersonal akhlak, environmental akhlak, and national akhlak. This study uses a mixed-method with an Explanatory Sequential Design where quantitative studies are used as a reference to deepen the process through qualitative studies. Quantitative data collection techniques used questionnaires, while qualitative data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and learning document analysis. Quantitative data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative analysis, and the significance of pretest and posttest differences was tested using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Qualitative data analysis used the Miles & Huberman interactive model, which was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study quantitatively showed an increase in the average pretest and posttest scores for all dimensions, albeit within a small range. The learning intervention provided significant, uneven changes across all akhlak dimensions. Based on the qualitative studies, the results also demonstrated effectiveness in strengthening akhlak, particularly in the dimension of akhlak toward others, as it improved the quality of interactions between students and fostered meaningful learning experiences relevant to local culture. This research requires further research, particularly on the development of more accurate instrument evaluation with more complex learning designs and systemic support for sustainable implementation.
Yanuarita Nur Hanifa, Siti Nurbayani, Wilodati
